Architectural & Academic Space
Spanning a meticulously organized 1,200 sq. ft., the library is engineered for both focus and collaboration. With a comfortable seating capacity for 300 scholars, the facility is divided into specialized zones—ranging from quiet individual carrels to vibrant areas for academic consultation. We proudly implement an Open Access System, empowering students to interact directly with our collections and fostering a culture of self-guided discovery.

Library Access & Admission
Identification
Access is granted strictly upon production of a valid SVS Identity Card.
Gate Register
Every member must record their name and membership number (Branch/Admin No.) upon entry.
Non-Members
Admission for non-members requires a special permit from the Principal or Librarian.
Property Counter
Personal belongings such as bags, boxes, umbrellas, and personal books must be deposited at the property counter before entering.
General Code of Conduct
Silence
Strict silence is mandatory; no discussions are permitted.
Electronics
Mobile phones and audio devices are strictly prohibited.
Food & Drink
No refreshments or snacks are allowed inside.
Behavior
Any violation of library decorum will result in serious action.
Rules & Regulations
Students must register as library members before utilizing any resources.
Textbooks, printed materials, and previously issued books are not allowed inside the library.
All books and materials being taken out must be shown to the staff at the entrance counter for verification.
The Librarian reserves the right to recall any book at any time; members must return recalled items immediately.
Library borrower cards are non-transferable. The cardholder is solely responsible for any books borrowed on their card.
Circulation & Book Care
Issue System
Books are issued only upon presentation of both the Library Card and Smart Card.
Borrowers must inspect books for any damage at the time of issue, as they will be held responsible for any mutilation discovered upon return.
Care of Books
Handling books and journals with extreme care is mandatory.
Marking with pencils, highlighting, writing, or tearing pages is strictly prohibited.
Damage to library property will lead to serious disciplinary action and liability for replacement.
Specialized Sections
Book Bank
Eligible SC/ST students may join the Book Bank by submitting an application with a valid caste certificate.
Members are entitled to borrow five textbooks per semester for extended use.
Reference Section
This section houses encyclopedias, dictionaries, specialized textbooks, and back volumes.
These resources are strictly for in-library reference to ensure they remain available for all scholars.
Journal Section
A dedicated space for national/international journals, magazines, and newsletters, organized by subject.
Current Issues: Displayed on open racks for immediate access.
Archived Issues: Maintained in drawers or as bound volumes for research and reference within the library.

Access: Valid SVS ID + Gate Register Signature
1. Borrowing & Circulation
Present your Smart Card and Library Card to borrow books.
Check books for damage before leaving the counter.
Borrower cards are non-transferable. You are responsible for all items on your account.
The Librarian may recall any book; it must be returned immediately upon request.
2. Specialized Facilities
Book Bank: SC/ST students can borrow 5 textbooks per semester (Application + Caste Certificate required).
Reference Section: On-site access to encyclopedias, dictionaries, and back volumes.
Journal Section: Subject-wise browsing for the latest research, magazines, and newsletters.
3. Essential Conduct
Maintain absolute silence. Group discussions are prohibited.
Store all bags, umbrellas, and personal books at the counter before entry.
Mobile phones and audio devices are strictly forbidden.
No highlighting, marking, or tearing pages. Damage will lead to serious penalties.
